Q: Who will be my Disc Jockey?

A: Hiring an entertainer is a very personal choice, so make sure that it is a person you choose, not just a company name. You should also be guaranteed in writing that the person promised will be the same person who will entertain at your event.  Marc is the owner and will always be at every event providing you with the extra effort that you can't get with an employee from another company.  Premier Sound understands that you want the best performance for your money.  That is why we have taken the extra step in using one of the industry's first digital audio automation systems used for mobile disc jockeys.   Not only do we use it, our sister company Broadcast Soundworks designed it! Q: Can I meet the Disc Jockey who will be entertaining at my wedding or other special event, before making my decision?

A: Yes, with an appointment in either our office or yours, at your home, or at your event site.

Q: Do you charge for travel or set-up?

A: There is no charge for either, except in extreme circumstances.  For example: no elevator access to an upstairs event, or a venue more than 50 miles from our office.

Q: If my party runs later, can you stay longer?

A: We love a good party as much as you, and would be happy to stay.

Q: When will you arrive the day of our event?

A: We arrive approximately one hour prior to our scheduled starting time. Please let us know if you need us to set up early.

Q: Do you take breaks?

A: No! You will have continuous music from the scheduled to start time until it's time to end.

Q: We have never planned a wedding before. Will you help us set an itinerary for the day?

A: Absolutely! One month prior to your wedding, we can get together for a consultation and work out all the details regarding the order of events and music program.

Q: Do you have lighting available?

A: Yes, lighting is included in the package price, however you can request no lighting for your event.

Q: Do you have backup equipment?

A: Yes, each of the major components have back-up capabilities.  Weddings and special events are once in a lifetime opportunities.  A back-up system protects your investment.  Premier Sound carrys onsite back-up equipment so you can rest easy.   Most reputable disc jockey companies use equipment that was designed to handle the everyday wear that mobile disc jockey equipment is subjected to. Although a consumer grade compact disc player can deliver just as clear of a sound as a commercial grade player, most consumer equipment was not designed to be transported once put in service. Back-up equipment is a must; any disc jockey who does not carry back-up equipment is putting your event at risk.

Q: If something happened to my D.J., who would entertain at my party?

A: It would take something very debilitating to keep us from entertaining. In the event this should happen, we have experienced personnel who could be called in as back-ups.

Q: If I want a song that you do not have, can I loan you my copy?

A: Yes, we can play your compact disc or cassette tape.

Q: What types of music can you play?

A: Whatever you want us to play. The only exclusions are songs with profanity in them.

Q: Can I make a list of songs I want played?

A: Yes!  We encourage it.  We do not recommend you format the music ahead of time, because there is no way to know what direction a party will take.  Requests from guests and yourself are the main sorce of song selection.

Q: Will you play the music I want at my event?

A: Yes!  We encourage it.  Any reputable disc jockey company will not only let you make a list of music that you wish to have played, but you should also be allowed to make a list of songs that you do not want to be played. In many cases, people know what they do not like more than what they do.

Q: How much experience does my entertainer have?

A: Experience can be measured in years or by number of events. Keep in mind that you should be hiring a specific entertainer, and that the person’s experience is what counts, not the years of experience that the company has.

Q: How will you be dressed?

A: Proper attire reflects a positive image to your guests. Premier Sound dresses in formal wear unless you request otherwise.
